Accomodation
What are the available accommodations?
Villa Daniela in Koutsounari features one 3-bedroom Villa and four one-bedroom apartments. The apartments are located in a second, completely separate building within the same estate ensuring total privacy and isdolation from the private Villa.
Do all the accommodations have sea view?
- Yes, all accommodations in Villa Daniela have sea view. The complete property enjoys a 180 grad, endless sea view
Is the Villa’s pool private?
Yes, the private Villa’s pool is private
Is the apartments’ pool private?
No, we have 4 apartments sharing a 25m long pool.
Do the apartments have a terrace?
Yes, the apartments have a terrace. The terrace lays directly by the pool.
How is the whole property arranged?
The estate is set across three levels: the Apartment building is on the first level, the fitness area on the second, and the private Villa on the highest (third) level
Is there a BBQ available in the property?
A Weber gas BBQ is available exclusively for guests of the private Villa.
Is the property isolated and private?
Yes, the Villa Daniela is completely isolated with no neighbors or overlooked areas. The entire estate is nestled in wild Cretan nature; even the road in front sees only occasional traffic, ensuring total calmness
Is there enough calmness?
The whole place in Villa Daniela is calm and in the middle of the wild Cretan nature. Even on the road in front of the property only a few cars passing only occasionally.
Are towels provided?
Yes, We provide all necessary bath and hand towels.
What is the kitchen equipment available in the Villa?
The modern, spacious kitchen is equipped with Stovetop, Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Refrigerator, Wine, electric wine cellar, Nespresso coffee machine, Tea maker, Water boiler, full range of high-end kitchenware
What is the kitchen equipment available in the apartments?
- The kitchenettes feature a small oven and stovetop, toaster, refrigerator, Nespresso machine, tea maker, kettle, and a complete set of kitchenware.
Is there enough shadow?
Yes. Several pergolas and our newly installed electric sun tents provide ample shade
Is there heating and/or air-conditioning?
Yes, All rooms are fully air-conditioned. The private Villa features a central cooling and heating system for year-round comfort..
What other amenities are offered?
We provide linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, kitchen microfiber cloths, hand soap, dish soap, and basic pantry items like sugar, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper

Is there a cleaning service?
Yes, cleaning takes place every three days, at which time fresh linens and towels are provided
Is there a washing machine in the property?
There is a washing machine on-site.
Is there any transfer service from the airport?
- Yes, we have a partner for that.
Can I get help in planning or booking my activities in the area?
In Villa Daniela we are very keen to help you with his experience and knowledge of the area to plan your day. Choose the right activity, excursion or beach visit always in accordance to your preferences and the weather conditions

Yes indeed. We offer a range of carbon road bikes and E-Bikes. Whether you are a pro athlete or a casual explorer, we have the right bike for you

Where is the property located?
Villa Daniela is located in Koutsounari one of the most beautiful corners of south Crete, 9 km away from the city of Ierapetra. Its ‘Long Beach’, a 2km long beach with crystal clear waters is one of the most beautiful beaches of Crete
Is the area crowded?
No, the area is remarkably quiet and free from mass tourism. Even in August, the beach remains peaceful
How far is the nearest airport?
The nearest airport is in Heraklion, about 100km away
Do I have to rent a car or is there any transfer possibility?
A car is recommended for exploring the wider region and visiting various restaurants. However, if you are an experienced rider, our E-Bikes are a great alternative for getting around locally

Beyond the various beaches and the mountain villages you can visit The Chrissi island (the most famous sight in southeast Crete). The city of Ierapetra, the city of Agios Nikolaos, the Kapsas monastery, the Toplou monastery and the various picturesque villages around.

what are the check in and check out hours?
Check in up 14:00 and check out before 10:00 o’clock
My flight is late in the evening. Can I leave the Villa later ?
Yes, provided that there is no other guest coming the same day. Anyway, it must be specifically asked to the management
Are children allowed?
In the apartments the minimum age is 14 years old. In the private Villa it is 8 years old
Are visitors allowed?
No, for the shake of the privacy of the other guests and for security reasons visitors are not allowed.In Villa Daniela the highest priority is calmness and privacy.
Are parties allowed?
No, parties are not allowed. In Villa Daniela the highest priority is to keep the Villa calm, peaceful and without harassments for our guests
Which is the Cancelation Policy?
There is a free cancelation 2 days after booking. Then there is a 10% fee for cancelation up to 60 days before arrival. For cancelation later than 60 days before arrival you will be charged the 100%.
Which are the payment terms?
A 10% deposit within 2 days after booking and the rest 60 days before arrival.

Are there any supermarkets in the area?
Yes, In Koutsounari, around 1.500m from Villa Daniela, you find a pharmacy, doctor’s office, mini-market. In Ferma (3km away) you find a bakery and a supermarket. And of course, in the city of Ierapetra you can find several big supermarkets, many commercial shops, workshops and medical services
Are there any Restaurants in the area?
Yes, many and various. The nearest restaurant lays 500m away from Villa Daniela and the next on about 1.500m away. Then you have several beachfront restaurants and around Koutsounari and in the area of Ierapetra.
Are there medical services in the area?
A doctor’s office stays 1.500m away from Villa Daniela, in Koutsounari. In Ierapetra you can find specialists and doctors and a State Hospital.
Sports & Activities
Are there any sport facilities in the property?
Yes, there is an open-air fitness area overlooking the sea equipped with Spinning bikes, Treadmill, training bank and smaller devices. Then you can use our bikes
Are there other sport activities in the area?
Several sport activities are offered in the area: diving, water sports, horseback riding, hiking, boat renting
Can we go hiking in the area?
The area is a hiker’s paradise. Numerous paths lead through mountains and gorges with breathtaking views. Nikos has curated a list of routes for all difficulty levels, available on our Komoot profile (access permission required).
We are cyclists. Can we go cycling ?
Yes, in Villa Daniela we have a complete cycling service with carbon bikes, equipment and service. The area offers many challenging routes for cyclists. There are empty streets, breathtaking views, exciting mountains and relatively good quality streets
Is there a bike service ?
We offer cycling services for both sport and recreation riders. Our fleet includes road racing bikes and E-Bikes in all sizes
Excursion and Sightseeings
Can you propose interesting excursions in the area?
Yes,there a lot of nice excursions to do. Take the boat to Chrissi Island, Ride to Xerocampos magnificent beaches, visit the natural park of Selakanon on top of the mountain, ride to Toplou monastery and the Vai Palm forest. You can always find a traditional, village tavern in order to combine your excursion with an unforgettable meal on the mountain

Are there beaches in the area?
several magnificent and uncrowded beaches with crystal clear waters are in the area. You can also explre many hidden, wild beaches for ultimate privacy. You can visit wonderful bays like Agia Fotia, Achlia, Kaki Skala just a couple of km away or Myrtos to the East, the dream sandy beach of Voulisma to the north and of course the endless long beach in front of Villa Daniela
Which is the nearest beach?
: the long beach of Koutsounari some 1.800m walking distance. It is a 2km long beach never crowded, there are even a couple of restaurants and organized beaches on it. But then there is enormous free space to lay around even in mid-summer.
Are the beaches organized?
Most nearby beaches have “organized” sections with sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as plenty of open, natural space
Are there beaches in Ierapetra City?
Ierapetra sports a large sandy beach extending in front of the promenade.
What is the sea water temperature?
Thanks to the mild climate you can swim most part of the year. From May to November it can be from 20°C to 26°C
The Weather
Is the weather sunny?
The area of Ierapetra is considered to have the highest number of sunny days in Europe. From May to November expect bright blue skies and incredible starlit nights.
Which are the usual temperatures?
Temperatures range from 20°C in April and November to 30°C in mid summer. But even in hot days in Summer there will always be some wind refreshing you and making the summer heat much more affordable. This is the advantage of being on an island.
How is the weather generally?
Crete is known for its warm and sunny weather. Even during the winter months you may have days with temperatures around 20 degrees.
